01 / The Lead Lift |
Raul Flores just pulled 511 kg and rewrote deadlift historyThe bar left the floor fast. It slowed above Raul Flores' knees. Then the 26-year-old kept grinding until 511 kg (1,126.6 lb) was locked out and the biggest number in strongman belonged to somebody new. Flores broke Hafthor Bjornsson's 510 kg world record by the smallest possible margin: one kilogram. He made the lift at the World Deadlift Championships in Birmingham using the event's standard deadlift suit, belt, and straps. A dozen men entered; only Flores left with the record. There was more on the bar than weight. After his dog Tayzon died, Flores promised that the name would become known around the world. He adopted Tayzon as his nickname, pointed to the tattoo after the lockout, and described the attempt as lifting that promise. The old record holder did not sulk. Bjornsson congratulated Flores and welcomed a rival who can push the sport forward. Then Hafthor went and won the five-event Strongman Open anyway with 50.5 points. Record gone, trophy secured, rematch loaded. |

02 / Fuel Check |
The smartest protein buy might be the smaller bagWhat: Pea protein is a dairy-free way to fill a protein gap, not a magical upgrade over food or whey. Why: The practical differences are flavor, texture, serving size, ingredients, certification, and whether the bag fits meals you already make. Try: If it is new to you, buy a smaller plain or flavored bag first. Test it in the preparation you will repeat: water, a smoothie, oats, or baking. Move to five pounds only after the smaller bag earns a place in your week. Limitation: Labels, sellers, prices, serving sizes, and certification claims change. Check the delivered label, and remember that powder contributes to a complete diet; it does not replace one. Compare eight pea-protein formats before buyingShopping guide contains affiliate links. |

03 / Coach's Card |
Three days. Full body. No fake seven-day promises.Goal: Beginner strength and movement skill // Level: Beginner Time: 45-55 minutes, Monday / Wednesday / Friday // Equipment: Dumbbells, bench, optional barbell and pull-up station Three-day beginner full-body workout| Day | Main work |

Warm up for five to 10 minutes and rest 60-90 seconds. During week one, use two sets if three makes form fall apart. Add reps before weight and leave one or two clean reps in reserve. Regress it: Use bodyweight squats, incline push-ups, and inverted rows. Stop any movement that causes sharp pain, and get qualified help when you cannot maintain a stable position. 04 / The Five-Minute Save |
No hour to train? Steal back five minutes.Your calendar does not care that the workout in your head needs 60 minutes, a free bench, and the correct playlist. When that hour disappears, a five-minute movement break can stop a busy day from becoming a complete zero. Try 10 controlled chair squats and 10 wall push-ups between meetings, a brisk five-minute walk after lunch, or 20 band pull-aparts when your desk posture starts impersonating a question mark. Keep it moderate and finish with clean reps available. These "exercise snacks" keep the habit alive; they do not replace progressive workouts for strength or muscle. Build your five-minute fallback |
